Josh Gad Shows off his Best #BelleTwirl for Sydney Premiere of Disney's Beauty & the Beast
Beauty and the Beast has always been my ultimate Disney film. Singing Be Our Guest to my one-year-old nephew while prancing around the lounge room has finally lead to this incredible moment where I am lucky enough to cover the red carpet of the Australian premiere and chat to talented musical theatre star Josh Gad. I have never been more excited to see a movie in cinemas (and I'm a huge Star Wars fan), just to see how they can turn such a beautiful animated tale into a live action adventure! For me, casting was the most significant aspect - and the producers could not have chosen better. I applaud Emma Watson for her humanitarian and feminism efforts; the Harry Potter star could not have been a more perfect choice to be in the spotlight for millions of young girls to look up to all over the world. Especially when Disney princesses can exhibit that 'Damsel in Distress' vibe, Emma's strength and fearlessness brings a new take on Belle. The entire cast were simply superb, but I was most impressed with Luke Evans' portrayal of Gaston. Man, he took that character by the balls and you can tell he loved every moment! What brought this stunning feature to life? The incredible costumes, from the elegant and extravagant ballroom dresses of the opening scene down to Belle's market dress. So much planning and precision allowed the live action feature to embody the essence of the 1991 original. So without further ado, I bring you the Australian premiere red carpet event for Disney's Beauty and the Beast.
