We're not Here for Your Entertainment
Horrendous acts take place everyday all over the world. One such place is Taiji, Japan. From August until March hunters herd Dolphins into a cove, net it off to prevent any escape, and force them to watch one another be slaughtered in painful & inhumane ways - including the severing of spinal cords.
In addition to whales, dolphins have one of the most developed brains amongst all animals. They love and grieve just like us. Further astounding is the fact that they are slaughtered for meat, which contains Mercury and is extremely dangerous to consume. A small amount are selected for captivity... This is what drives and funds the hunt.
We can end this at the consumer level, by refusing to purchase tickets to parks where dolphins and whales are held in captivity. But more importantly, tell your friends WHY.
You can sign the petition HERE to the Japanese Prime Minister, to stop the slaughter.
For more information head over to SAVE DOLPHINS or DOLPHIN PROJECT - Leader @richardobarry is currently being detained in Japan.
Below: You can see the pure joy in their faces...
That's because they're free.
